Mario Mora was born in 1967, in Lebu, Chile, in a family of school teachers, his focus on music was developed through the study of the classical guitar, with which he started formal studies at the age of 17, which takes him to enter the Conservatory of the University of Chile in 1988, where he studied Guitar and Theory. His interest in musical composition grows slowly through his years of study, taking lessons with Carlos Riesco and other composers, leading him to win a couple of awards in musical composition in 1992. His work has focused mainly on instrumental music and mixed electroacoustic. He is currently an associate professor at the University of Chile in the Composition Area of this university.
