Pablo Borrás

Pablo Borrás was born in Quilmes, Argentina in 1982. He graduated from “Carlos Morel” Conservatory in 2004 where he studied piano. From 2005 to 2011 he studied with Fernando Maglia at the IUNA where he graduates in 2011 from the Degree of Composition. Recent performances include “Disgraea”, for oboe solo, performed by Andres Spiller at the Jockey Club, Buenos Aires, in August 2011: “Quinteto Irreal, (for five instruments) composed for a scholarship granted by the FNA and played by the ensemble “Proyecto Alquimia” in the “Centro Nacional de la Música” in August 2011. Awards: Won the third prize at the FNA composition competition “Juan Carlos Paz” (2007): Second prize in the international competition “Atahualpa Yupanqui” organized by the UNLA (Lanus Univesity). Won the “Pablo Sorozabal” first Prize (2009) and the competition “Fundación Aguagranada” first Prize (2010), both in Spain: First prize winner of the “Eduardo Alemann” composition competition in 2009 and 2011.
