Umberto Rotondi
Play all audio recordingsA pupil of the Milan Conservatory , he graduated in piano in 1959 and in composition in 1964 , after having attended the classes of Bruno Bettinelli and Franco Donatoni . He attended advanced courses in various Italian cities and at the Chigiana Academy of Siena . He has participated in numerous festivals ( Graz , Paris , Helsinki ) and in 1976 was the winner of the Wieniawski Competition in Poznan . [1] He taught at the Brescia Conservatoryand at the upper composition course at the Milan Conservatory . In 1992, the Ambrosian Mass , composed together with 8 of his students, under his supervision, became public . [2] Among his pupils, the composers Enrico Renna and Fausto Romitelli should be mentioned . His works are published by the Ricordi , Suvini Zerboni and Edipan publishing houses .
