Colours Variations

“Colours Variations for large orchestra (2014)” was written from my own image about "The idea of sound’s colour and colour’s sound". The background of the whole piece consists of the contrast between red and blue which is also performed function as basic theme for this variation works. The colour is changed to various colours with effects, such as discoloration, colours mixture or spectrum. It is to fulfill a wide range of full orchestra, the large contrast of the lowest range between bass instruments and high instruments. "Tempo ad libitum" is played with the tempo by musician’s improvisation and the accel., which is performed by independently of each instrument group, would be the sounds of a variety of colors with freely configurable. There is a quoted motive for percussion group in the middle of the piece which comes from Korean traditional percussion performance "Samul-Nori".
