Notes on this piece Slackness and disappointment, what I would feel, upon waking from afternoon naps in April 2012. A loosest yet haziest time for me, perhaps of my entire life.
This work, however, came about from what was originally conceived in February 2020 as a cycle in three movements, totally lasting about 54 minutes, making my longest composition up to then.
The pandemic, the shutdown... A time for writing for something intimate and individualized.
The three movements were originally conceptualized closely related, but now I have decided to make them individual pieces. They may be performed individually, yet the three of them may be joined together as a whole cycle as well.
