Nênia carioca is a dirge on the collapse of rule of law and the emergence of barbarism in what was once a dreamland. It is built on musical materials and means derived from Rio's urban popular music from about a century ago, transfigured and stated in simultaneous angles at once. The piece is dedicated to Abstrai Ensemble (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil).
