Crisálida: [Chrysalis] (for two pianos, using extended techniques)
We live times avid of regeneration, times that yearn for a necessary social transformation at all levels, passing also inevitably by a personal transformation.
The chrysalis incarnate in his transfiguration the allegory of a profound metamorphosis, from within: organic, and projected outward: spiritual.
This vital concerns about the uncontrollable mutation and transformation of what surrounds us, takes metaphor in the sound happen of the work, which, getting rid of the corporeal, without rhythm, without pulse, without harmony, without melody... is revealed in a constant regeneration, deep and progressive of its texture and space density, and its chromatic and timbrical tapestry, since once transmuted, concluding finally getting rid of all bundle, and keep flying free in time eternally.
The work is especially composed in memory of my dear uncle, José García Dolz.
