According to Simone Weil's philosophy, after the time of "decreation", the moment when the initial melody disintegrates owing to the sharp effects of the harp, comes the quest for "epiphany," to borrow the title of a piece by Berio; the sonorous material moves from low to high registers, that is from darkness to light.
