The score, for a flexible instrumentation (6 to 10 instruments - 6 in this version), uses the legendary Michelsonne toy pianos 2 octaves models.
The characteristics of the Michelsonne instruments and of their modes of playing are key elements in the piece. The opening and closing of the keyboard drawer creates spectacular glissandi-like effects. The percussive use of the toy pianos (wood and keys) generate various resonances and vibrations made either directly or indirectly by the instruments' bells. Guero slides on keys are recurrent effects in the piece. Hardly controllable due to the instrument's keyboard characteristics (little space/pressure), they result in random sounds made by "accidentally" depressed key(s). These elements create a constant 'resonant' background which changes according to tempo, dynamics and sound energy.
