Notes on this piece McVities Disease is based on a poem of the same title written by the English poet Bernadette O' Horo. The usage of short phrases and some signal words marked in bold in the text defined much of the work's character. "McVities" is a British snack food brand. The perplexed mental images the poem brings to the reader are depicted from a tenor lost in their own words juxtaposed with the gestural instrumental phrases. All in all, everything is a matter of emotional expression. This refers first and foremost to the emotions I want to share with the audience through the work.
