Notes on this piece The work was realized after reading the poem of Santa Teresa de Jesús (1515 - 1582) with the name of "Vivo sin vivir" (I live without living). The poem instead of be dramatic or very sad, it reflects the joy of a Soul of be waiting for the promises of the Afterlife:VIVO SIN VIVIR EN MÍVivo sin vivir en mí,y tan alta vida espero, que muero porque no muero.I LIVE WITHOUT LIVING IN MEI live without living in me,And so high life I wait,That I die because i don't die.The work is done in a atonal way, taking overall the lecture of the first stanza of the poem, the which one appears in the middle of the piece recited by all the interpreters, there is a variation of the speech rhythm notated in the piano, figure which is repeated in a manner of imitation in the flute and the clarinet .As can be noted due to the Age in which Santa Teresa lived, I have decided to make the piece as a kind of motet using the techniques of imitation in the whole piece, which is created with two "taleas" which are presented overall in the woodwinds as a canon, and a quick figure presented at the beginning of the work which will serve as a mark for the beginning or ending of sections. Reason for which also the work have a ternary structure of: A B A, as the majority of Sacred Music since the Middle Age in the Gregorian Chant as well until the Renaissance like the Kyrie or the Alleluia.
