Korean tradition of Sanjo is composed of a skilful blend of melodic and rhythmic elements whose roots come from the assembly of pansori and sinawi. In other words, it’s a mixture of a music that was vocal and became instrumental and a polyphonic improvisation which is reduced to a written solo. In this paradoxical universe, the juxtaposition of rhythms is fragmented into a myriad of splinters which will respond, overlap and form a broken temporality. The duo is a slow transformation, a kind of souvenir gradually altered over time, punctuated by chaotic clocks.
