"Au milieu de la plaine" ("In the middle of the plain") (2015) for flute and harp, was composed for the flautist Michel Raynié, who premiered it with Fabrice Pierre at the Corum in Montpellier, on May 31, 2015, for the season of the Orchestre National de Montpellier.

Each of the three movements is inspired by a haiku

I. “In the middle of the plain / sings the lark / free from everything” (Bashô)
II. "Ah, serenity / And at the bottom of the waters of the lake / The tops of the clouds" (Issa)
III. “Snaking waves / The cool breeze / Comes to me” (Issa)
