Notes on this piece This work requires two pianos. In the first movement, each player has their own piano. The second movement is four-hand piano (two players, one instrument). In the third movement, one pianist plays at the keyboard and the other plays inside the piano by plucking, damping, and placing objects on the strings (mostly paper - feel free to experiment). The three movements are attaca.
It is possible to perform the first movement alone. If that is desired, you can purchase that version separately, which has a different end.
