Byzantine Aberrations

The title relates to Byzantine music and its theoretical system. The microtonality, which is used in very specific motifs, is almost present throughout the entire composition. Nevertheless, it seeks to create some small differentiations between the diatonic (or well-tempered) system and the Byzantine system (a blend of musical worlds, through the development of ancient Greek music and the influence from the East). It must be emphasized that this composition does NOT showcase or utilize the style and characteristics of Byzantine music, although some elements are already indirectly integrated into the music; it attempts to create as natural a connection as possible between the two musical worlds.
