Breaking Time-Rods

The work explores the possibilities of how using the expectation from strong characteristics (rhythmic and sonorous) an impression of dissolution can be achieved - the time rods i.e. strict tempo limitations are breaking but not yet broken.This etude type work commences with a broken up fanfare type introduction where the three instruments interlock/play with strong rhythmic motives and the distinct inner tempo is gradually brought to a semi-standstill, using extended techniques to underline the unmistakable character of the trombones timbres.
