Notes on this piece Inspired by different veins of stone from the Arts of Chinese Stone Painting, they present a miniature of mysterious nature. Sometimes it is smooth and natural, however occasionally it gives one an impression of chaos and unevenness. I try to explore this duality into my composition.Another Eastern Philosophy of “Yin” and “Yang” (opposite forces that form a whole) are alsoinspired and investigated from the grains of Stone Painting. Thus, in this work, Chinese Philosophy is merged with Western musical horizons organically. This work won second prize in the 2011 International Composers' Competition on the occasion of 90th Anniversary of the I. J. Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznan, Poland. The work has been premiere in April 2011 in Poland and performed in Taiwan ACL Festival in November 2011.
