Gyre, lacus, black hole, the feminine: an exploration of musical materials that are either simply artifacts of time or significant indicators of the music that is to come. Incompatible rhythmic layers, timbres, and pitches are thrust together and evolve in a way that layers that were once inaudible are revealed unevenly. As some musical ideas become clearer, others take on a more ambiguous function.
