Notes on this piece “7 Haiku” was specially written for the Filarmônica Antoninense in celebration of its 40th anniversary. Since the group is made of young musicians, each Haiku was composed as a strategy to introduce to the group different and important aesthetics from the music of the 20th and 21st centuries. Having that in mind, each miniature is dedicated to composers Georg Friedrich Haas, Gérard Grisey, Anton Webern, Alvin Lucier, Morton Feldman, Giacinto Scelsi, and Luigi Nono.
