Monochrome is an instrumental piece with electronic sounds that is inspired and composed from abstract paintings, images and color field paintings by renowned artists.
These large paintings with thin layers of color suggest in this occasion a wide and varied range of instruments such as bass clarinet, double bass and piano.
Monochrome suggests some kind of visible projection in large dimensions with the aim of achieving some mystical experience.
The piece preserves its tone while addressing the different pictorial and sound landscapes.
The piece of around 9 minutes is accompanied by a stereophonic electronic sound track with a tendency towards synthetic instrumental concretism.
Monochrome was composed and revised during the last years of the current publication and explores, among others, different timbral possibilities of the selected instruments.
