This piece can be considered as the second part of a previous one, that is Trompe or the unheard Time for Jew's Harp and Electronics. mitWerk or the transversal time presents a variety of musical and technical elements (e.g. different types of bow techniques) that find a relatively coherent unity through various rhythmic procedures. These rhythmic processes form the engine of the musical discourse, where many elements/parameters are forced to leave themselves, i.e. the consideration of all transitions considers a multidimensional phenomenon and not just the simple and theoretically pure change in pitch, dynamics or timbre. In this sense, it is clear that a change in dynamics, whether we want it or not, always provokes a change in timbre, except perhaps in the electronic world. This quality of the instrumental area is consciously integrated into the composition as a new dimension, or better as a meta-dimension in order to always use diagonal lines between elements and parameters, a qualitative jump in time. This is also noticeable when using electronics, where relatively simple processes produce transformations from timbre to rhythm or from pitch to timbre.
All of these ideas were already experienced in Trompe, which explores almost all vocal possibilities without a voice and also establishes a kind of electronic chamber music in the relationship between direct and electronic sound.
