Notes on this piece Nautilus The Nautilus is one of the oldest living creatures that still subsists today, its proportions, studied by the Fibonacci “golden section theory”, show the Nautilus to be perfect. It is a crab of the warm seas that amazed Julio Verne’s imagination. The Nautilus also resembles the shape of the french horn. This work appeared from the interplay with those elements in a non-rigorous way. It liberally applies the “aureal” proportions, especially concerning the structure of the piece. It uses an electro-acoustic device that multiplies the sound image of the horn and gives it diverse spaces by means of reverbs and virtual echoes; as if it were a dialogue between a group of sea animals.
