Notes on this piece The word "tensor" refers to the device that joins two different elements by a tension mechanism. The tensor doesn't make part of the elements connected although converting itself in part of the final whole composed by the Element 1, the tensor and the Element 2. This work seeks to show this idea by a passage, a corridor between two attitudes of my own music referred also to my two formative periods in music. The first period is linked with my apprenticeship in Chile, a sound discovering focused on the research of timber and on the technical possibilities of instruments. The second period is my journey in Italy and the discovery (or recovery) of the more handicraft aspects of music writing. Within the score, the corridor between timbre and pitch starts from air sounds, in order to undertake a journey toward defined notes. A very gradual addition of pitch is made thanks to Aeolian sounds, pizzicato on the cast iron plate, distorted or uncontrolled sounds without mouthpiece or scratch effects on the viola and cello. At the end, chaotic addition of strata reaches a common sequence of notes, setting a stable flow that arrives to the world of defined pitch.
