Notes on this piece
Paysages
The piece Paysages is about time fluctuation, and is inspired by the poem "Paysage," from the collection "Les Fleurs du Mal," by Charles Baudelaire. In this piece, the idea of changes in tempo, and most importantly, the process of freezing tempo, is an attempt to create a dialogue with two of the lines of the poem, in which winter and snow are mentioned. In addition, the words are used as a source for vowel and consonant sounds that are explored throughout the composition. The words are also a source for sound analysis, generating harmonies with vocal sounds characteristics.
