The title of the piece refers to Jesus' answer to the question of which commandment is the greatest. The answer from Matthew's Gospel, sung in Latin, is surrounded by monosyllabic Czech words, a kind of stream that imaginatively prevents one from loving "the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind." Then, at the end, we hear one of the poems I wrote in Jerusalem. Structurally, my music was freely inspired by the tiles of the courtyard of the Temple of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem, on which centuries and the feet of pilgrims have left an indelible mark.
