Carlo Prosperi
Play all audio recordingsHe studied with Vito Frazzi and Luigi Dallapiccola from whom he inherited a rigidly dodecaphonic style. Between 1950 and 1958 he collaborated with the RAI in Rome. From this last year he was professor of harmony and counterpoint at the Conservatory of Florence .
A prolific author of symphonic and chamber music, he was one of the most frequented composers in the concert halls of Italian radio. His musical language is very personal, for his refined orchestration and the penetrating subtlety of his atonal technique.
