Sascha Lino Lemke
Play all audio recordingsSascha Lino Lemke (*1976) studied composition, music theorie and electronic music in Hamburg, Lueneburg and Paris.
He obtained numerous prices and scholarships. During his studies he was scholar of the Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes. At the Darmstädter Ferienkurse 2002 he received the Kranichsteiner Stipendienpreis. In 2003 he obtained the Bachpreis-StipendiumHamburg as well as the Dresdner MusikStipendium. His orchestra piece "...comme une berceuse..." was selected for the Saarbrücker Komponistenwerkstatt 2004 and was premiered by the Orchester des Saarländischen Rundfunks. The reading panel of IRCAM chose him for the one-year course for music technology and composition 2004/5.
With his wife Marcia Lemke-Kern he founded the duo con:fusion which interpretes pieces for performer and electronics involving theatrical elements. In 2007 the duo con:fusion obtained the first prize of the "Competition for Live Electronic Projects" of the ECPNM during the Gaudeamus Music Week for the composition #Un4Scene# for performer, live-electronics and live-video. In 2009 he was given a scolarship for Casa Baldi in Olevano Romano (Italy). In 2010 he obtained the Hindemith Prize of the Hindemith foundation and the Schleswig-Holstein-Musik-Festival.
He got commisions/had performances in festivals such as musica viva (München), Münchener Biennale for comtemporary music theater, Darmstädter Ferienkurse, Klangwerktage and Greatest Hits Festival for New Music (Hamburg), IRCAM (Paris), ICMC (International Computer Music Conference), Festival musica (Strasbourg), Forum der Künste Hellerau, ZKM Karlsruhe, Gaudeamus Music Week (Amsterdam), Musica viva festival (Lissabon), Automn Festival (Talinn), Norddeutscher Rundfunk, Seoul International Computer Music Festival (SICMF), Shanghai Spring Festival and in the US.
Sascha Lemke teaches music theorie, analysis and electronic music in Luebeck and Hamburg. Since october 2011 he also is artistic director of the electronic music department music conservatory in Lübeck.
Since 2013 he is a member of the Freie Akademie der Künste Hamburg.
