"Pièces à conviction" is a work for flute and four track tape. The piece is part of a series of compositions where I work with waste sounds, mostly very weak, reaching me in my everyday life. In this composition these sounds are the source of both the musical material for the flute and the four track tape. The overall form of the composition is derived from an analyze of sounds from the street outside my window. Thus I exteriorize the small intimate sounds and put them up front to make a music that has a certain sense of intimacy.
