Gesanglos III

This short piece results from an improbable trio for piccolo, timpani and double bass – which does not seek fusion but emphasizes differences and clashes, highlightening a refused and impossible listening.
 
The work is a dense monolith whose material obsessionaly rotates, fighting an omnipresent silence and generating a hopeless violence (which is successively imprecation, incantation, lament, catharsis). Mirrors and symmetries, drawing a closed space, are present at various levels of composition.
