written for the Divertimento ensemble
The metabolic processes of the living organisms is the main idea in this piece. The performance status of the ensemble is considered as the substance that will be engaged into metabolic processes. These processes are stochastic and take place in real time in the form of music games. Due to the processes that change the performance status of the ensemble during the piece, the first and last part which are exactly the same, will sound different and the listener can perceive directly the amount of metabolism that occurred in this specific performance of the piece.
