3 Lieder nach Klopstock

“3 Lieder nach Klopstock” (3 Songs based on Klopstock) were composed for the Sparkassenstiftung Hannover at the suggestion of Graf von Bernstorff and were first performed in the castle of Gartow in 2004. The family von Bernstorff hosted Friedrich Gottlieb Klopstock several times, to enable Klopstock to work untroubled. “3 Lieder nach Klopstock” are based on texts from Klopstock’s poem “Die Frühlingsfeier” (The Celebration of Spring):Hier steh ich.Rund um mich ist Alles Allmacht!Ist Alles Wunder!Halleluja! Halleluja!Auch der Tropfen am EimerRann aus des Allmächtigen Hand!Alles ist still vor dir, du Naher! ?Rings umher ist Alles still!Especially the tenderness of the texts and the deep intimacy, expressed by “Du Naher”, had a great impact on the composition process.  There exists another version for soprano and accordion.
