Inquiline

Inquiline is a piece that proposes a possible reterritorialization of the string quartet- using 3d printed motorized bows, the quartet becomes a swarm of minute sonic creatures, in search of a new sonic territory.
This transformation takes place not only on a technical or a physical plane, but also on a temporal one- the innumerable mechanical bow strokes become abstract, as repetition turns into vibration, and everything that seemed to have solidified now becomes fluid- time is leaking, and everything changes inwardly.
