Proximation

With this piece, I attempt to address the issue of sonic alienation caused by the normality of noise in which human perception is daily immersed, and answer how an overlooked everyday aural experience can be brought into the artistical closer focus and exposed within the music. For this purpose, I use the piezo microphone(s) to augment quiet aspects of certain sounds and make them more audible, emphasizing the proximity of the sounding things themselves. Entanglement of amplified and unplugged sounds enhance them causing a synergistic effect.
