Descripción —Finis Gloriae Mundi in ictu oculi—
[In the blink of an eye, the end of the world's Glory]
A reflection on disappointment, the ephemeral and death. The creative force of this work is based on the diptych by the spanish/sevillian painter Juan de Valdés Leal "Hieroglyphs of the end" from which the piece takes its title and narrative structure: a first part on the motto "Finis Gloriae Mundi" formed by two short movements (Morten and Iudicum) and a second one after an interlude, "In ictu oculi", also composed of two movements (Inferno and Gloria).
[Work written in the Frame of the X Spanish Music Festival and the Manuel de Falla Chair 2013]
