Density Study

Density Study is a very short piece that was written during the last three weeks I have spent in the fabulous city of Gent. Some particular sonorities are the result of experiences which I could perform at Logos Foundation with the help of Kristof Lauwers (to whom I’m so grateful). However, the main idea of this piece concerns the exploitation of materials that come from acoustical phenomenon such as the beats of two very near frequencies. This beats create several layers of densities that have a relation with the surrounding materials. This piece is dedicated to Godfried-Willem Raes, who made it all possible.
