A line out of the poem "Schluss des 1648sten Jahres" by the German baroque poet Andreas Gryphius sets the focus for this piece:
"Laß doch / weil mir die Sonn wohl in der Mittags-Höh / mich noch nicht untergehn"(" Let / because my sun is still at noon / me not yet fade away")
A soul facing death thrown to and fro between resignative acceptance and furious protest.
