Play all audio recordingsLina Posėčnaitė (born 1995 in Klaipėda, Lithuania) began her music studies as a violin player in her hometown Klaipėda, Lithuania. 2014-2019 she completed her Bachelor of Music in composition at the University of the Arts Bremen (Germany), her teachers including Prof. Jörg Birkenkötter, Prof. Kilian Schwoon, Daniel Smutny. Since September 2019 she has been pursuing her Master of Music at the Academy of Music FHNW (Basel, Switzerland) in the class of Prof. Caspar Johannes Walter.
Her compositions have been performed in various concerts and festivals in Germany, Lithuania and Switzerland, broadcasted on different radios (nordwestradio, Radio Angrezi, CKCU FM 93.1) as well as recorded on CDs: „Martynas Švėgžda von Bekker: Lithuanian XXI Cent. Expressions for Violin“ and „drop the beat“ of the German Society for Electroacoustic Music (DEGEM). Posėčnaitė is a winner of the First Prize absolute in XIII International composition competition "Citta di Udine" 2020. She took part in many masterclasses and workshops, such as impuls.11th International Ensemble and Composers Academy for Contemporary Music 2019, Darmstädter Ferienkurse, Next Generation of Donaueschinger Musiktage, Labor of Wittener Tage für neue Kammermusik where she received composition lessons from Enno Poppe, Fredrick Gifford, Clara Iannotta, Alberto Posadas, Mark Andre, Lisa Lim, Isabel Mundry, Pierluigi Billone, Karlheinz Essl, Ansgar Beste.
She is a member of projektgruppe neue musik bremen (pgnm).
