Zhiye Peng

PENG Zhiye (彭智烨, né en 1985) est un compositeur indépendant vivant actuellement à Chongqing, en Chine. Il a d'abord étudié l'architecture à l'Université du Sichuan, puis a suivi des cours de troisième cycle en composition avec le professeur ZOU Xiangping et est diplômé en 2014 du Conservatoire de musique du Sichuan. En 2016, il étudie brièvement en Europe avec Yann Robin et Klaus Lang.
 
Il essaie de présenter dans ses compositions un large éventail de paysages sonores et de gestes organiques, dans une trajectoire distincte mais de préférence un mouvement à évolution lente qui indique un scénario biotique. Il voit le bruit sans hauteur comme l'océan à grande échelle, d'où partent et reviennent les tonalités et les harmonies créées par l'homme. Il préfère les événements sonores sporadiques avec une dynamique parfaitement naturelle, évitant un contrôle trop artificiel sur eux.
 
Il a continué à collaborer avec des artistes visuels, sa musique ayant été présentée au Art Museum of Sichuan University, A4 Art Museum Chengdu, Dimensions Art Center Chongqing, Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki, California Museum of Photography et Barbara & Art Culver Center of the Arts, etc.
