Inter/Contra

Inter/Contra, like several of my works, uses an architecture metaphor as a compositional starting point. In this musical ‘building’ the listener explores two opposing musical ‘rooms’, witnessing various perspectives of each space as the work unfolds. While the general atmosphere and musical material in these two rooms contrast dramatically with each other, the work as a whole suggests subtle interactions between these two sections of the piece: foreshadows, memories and reminiscences.
