The work tries a very vague paralel between natural phenomena that inspire terror (like the earthquake or the volcanic eruption) and mental disorders (like psychosis, eloping into unreal worlds, delirium, panic attacks, autism etc.). Trembling turns into earthquake, iridescence into mechanical pulsation, dream into nightmare, passion into numbness. The music material developes several obsessive motives.
