Landscapes of a soul

Landscapes of a soul was requested by Arthur Campbell and Helen Marlais, as a piece to be played together with the bass clarinetist Rocco Parisi. I dedicated a virtuosic piece able to bring out their great technical qualities and deep musical feeling: since 2004 the trio has been performing on international stages with a large repertoire ranging from Mendelssohn to the contemporary music. The work's title is a veiled tribute to the American composer Lukas Foss. The 2005's premiere at the Grand Valley State University was the first of many performances in United States and Europe.
