Inspired by the concept of a single spark, the piece attempts recreating and depicting, within a multi dimensional sonic space the formation of a flame (lit. φλόγα in Greek). As Xenakis wrote in his Persepolis, Diamorphoses: ‘…To invent light trajectories, to create signs, destinies on stone: on mountains and ruins, through sound, through fire, through light’.
The piece was premiered by Dresdner Philharmonie in 2008, at the Kulturpalast, Dresden, Germany.
