Conductus

Conductus is conceived as a palimpsest of a historic artwork, the middle-age-conductus "Dic christi veritas“ from the Notre-Dame-Epoque.Contrapuntal characteristics of this model can be retrieved in the architecture of the composition in the shape of transformed, modulated, filtered, and tallied structures, as a result of the processes of generating structure that were applied to them before. The sublime reconciliation to the aura of a characteristic musical style of an epoque which has already become very distant from us by availing the structural potential of the consulted archetype, is a deliberate choice. This provokes the evocation of something radically different, an immanent disaccord, which in no instance can be compositionally solved.
