Do You Hear the Bells Sing

This piece is composed for percussion quartet. Through the mixing use of Western, Chinese and Tibetan cymbals, different sonorities and colors are explored.
The piece is divided into five sections:
I. Whisper of the Words
II. The Echoing Bells
III. The Lost Bells
IV. The Calling Bells
V. The Last Echoing Bells
In each section, a particular kind of color is being featured. Bowing, water gong effect, muffled sound (and pitch change in cymbals), open sound and amplification are emphasized accordingly.
