Notes sur cette pièce HUNAB-KU for percussion quartet, piano and celesta. This is the fifth and last work of the great inspirational Quincunx of Mesoamerican Calendars composed by Salvador Torré. Hunab-Ku for Maya Civilization means the center core generator cosmic movement and measure principle of intelligent energy in the animate and inanimate Universe. Path resonant and powerful radio station generating code radiant light of 260 units being printed in the electromagnetic ether planet, Road to Heaven leading to the umbilical cord of the universe, galactic channel ... In the climatic part is put in place a system clock in graded junctions with fixed axles and moving points, similar to those found in Teotihuacan Valley in the center of Mexico, drawing sight lines serve to guide the ceremonial centers with stars. The movement of drummers around the piano somehow resembles that of rotation and the four corners to the center. This complex work is dedicated to the memory of my teacher Iannis Xenakis
