Notes sur cette pièce
Chroset I: Microns
Microns is a piece written as a studies of the microstructures and silence. The inspiration of the piece came during Krzysztof Kieslowski year in 2011 and reflection on his movies. The piece Chroset I: Microns is divided into 17 miniatures. It is a kind of concertino, consisting of three duets, three solos and eleven trios. The structure of the piece is derived from a Baroque approach to timing using magic letters (S, C, V, X, L) as pedal notes underlying in the scales used in each miniature. The piece is a kind of study of the very short cyclic works inspired by haikus poems and the life of the microworlds. The longest movement is the final march lasting about 2 minutes. It is recommended to keep breaks but not so long rest between the non attaca movements. The order of the counterpoints is obligatory but the intermezzi (solos or duets) should be performed in any orderer chosen by the players on the rehearsal.
