Overheard on a train journey; a father admonishes two children fighting over coins, all pennies are the same. The piece is a transcription extrapolation of an algorithmic gesture generated for an earlier work. The ensemble operates as a dense web of intertwining threads. Burst, resonate and lighten. Subtle fluctuations emerge in the slight autonomy of tuning, tempo and dynamic. Each contributes to the whole, no part worth any less than the last.
