mit geliehener Aussicht - Umgebung 1+2

“geliehene Aussicht” (borrowed view) is the approximate translation of the Japanese term “Shakkei” which means the inclusion of structure and character of the preexisting surroundings into the composition of a traditional Japanese garden. The views from a Japanese garden on the surroundings appear naturalistic, as if by accident, but they are carefully constructed.There are three parts of this piece: the garden, a near surrounding, and a more distant surrounding. It can be performed in three versions: “Mit geliehener Aussicht” for piano solo, “Mit geliehener Aussicht – Umgebung [surrounding] 1“ for piano and clarinet, violoncello and percussion, “Mit geliehener Aussicht – Umgebung 1+2“ for piano and clarinet, violoncello, percussion and six other instruments.The version for piano solo is like a garden with free views on imaginary surroundings that can not be seen or heard.
