Notes sur cette pièce in Heaven everything is fine
-Bass saxophone version-
In Heaven Everything is Fine rejects the idea of directionality of musical events, erasing any trace of narrative intention in its course of sound action. When any arrow of musical time is suggested, it is abruptly aborted, thus creating some sort of static (sound) space-time. Musical objects – in their apparent aimless existence - refuse the exhaustion of its own material, establishing non-linear deformation processes instead, or appearing and disappearing like premonitions. These kind of “absurd” musical situations are somehow inspired on the surrealistic world created in David Lynch’s film “Eraserhead”, from which the title of the piece is borrowed.
Piece written in the frame of the Voix Nouvelles Program of the Royaumont Foundation and is published in BabelScores through a partnership between BabelScores and Voix Nouvelles.
