Notes sur cette pièce
Three Imaginary Spaces after Hadid
The initial idea behind this piece was to find a correlation between music and architecture. Music fills the time with sonic material in the sense architecture fills the space with material. In this piece there are three such imaginary spaces where different musical textures are used. However, in each case the whole sound spectrum from very low to very high is filled with musical material. In the first, there are two distinctive layers sometimes complementing each other and sometimes competing for the same space. In the second one, the objects are moving and the listener is observing that movement from a fixed position. It is almost like watching a car race. The third is is similar to the first in terms of massiveness but this time each element is part of a bigger whole.
